.

What/who inspires you to do music? How old were you when you started?

.

I've been involved in music all my life. Started off in choir when I was in kindergarden. I started writing my own songs and lyrics by the time I was 12. Ever since, my love for music itself has done nothing but grown

Who do you want to work with? (Artist wise)

.

I love working with all artists, but if I were to pick a local city artist to work with, it'd probably be Syracuse's own Tall Bucks. But my dream collab would definitely be J. Cole, that man is too ill!

What are you currently working on right now? New music, collabs, videos, etc.

.

I've been pushing my album R.E.A.L. as hard as I can lately and really wanna focus on getting it to as many ears as I can. But I've been working recently on a free downloadable REMIXTAPE where I remix a buncha songs from the late 90's/early 00's. It's coming together splendidly

What is your most accomplished piece of work? track, albums, mixtapes, etc.?

.

I would definitely say my recent album (Reevaluating Everything About Life) has been my crown work. Although I may have a few singles that have been more popular, with the right push and enough time I feel like this album can really help people and give them a different perspective on the life we all live

Which producers would you want to work with the most?

.

I've always had a music crush on Big Germ (one of Mac Miller's early producers), I feel like his brain is wired so creatively; anything the man touches is gold. But I also have always wanted to work with Timbaland, Ryan Lewis, and Swizz Beats.

Explain how you came about your "rap" name?

.

I've always felt like there's was an introverted and extroverted side to myself; each come with their traits. When I'm quiet, thoughtful, spreading love, or humorous, that's Xavier. When I'm loud, creative, ignorant, whitty, or social, I'm Exoticz. Some of the name kinda came to me from my love of Mary Jane, but I like to think it's because I'm not like the majority of people, I'm Exotic.

About how much time do you dedicate to your music each week?

.

Every Day. About 4 hours a day. I have some music rituals I do daily to make sure I stay musically on-point, but I tend to not work on projects till they're all at least written out and rough drafted (which takes some time with me)

Where do you see yourself 10 years from now? What is your goal in music?

.

I see myself making a difference to the people wise enough to follow and support me. I preach off inner-strength, spreading love, good vibes, and positive mindsets; I feel as though with the right amount of backing, I would really create a positive wave to help counter the negative outlines, violence, and taboos society supports and idealizes

Do you have a personal favorite track of your own? If so which one and why?

.

I would say that "This One's For You" off my album is my favorite piece. The way it builds, the dialog I use, the flow as well as my voice, the vibes that come about the track, all of it really. I was really happy with the way it come out all around.

How often do you sit down to write new material

.

I try to write at least 16 bars a day minimum. Some may not make it to actual songs and some become whole verses when I put projects together, but I make sure I have throw-away bars at the ready. To be the greatest, you have to be willing to make music not only your hobby, but your lifestyle.
