.

What/who inspires you to do music? How old were you when you started?

.

What really inspires me to make music is my crew, Street Cred Crew, I only started back in 2013 coz I was hangin' with those boys all the time and they are some talented artists. I had always been a huge fan of hip hop and those boys gave me the push I needed to do it for my self.

Who do you want to work with? (Artist wise)

.

Oh man, so many. I'm not interested in working with the most popular or famous rappers, just wanna work with dope underground talent, no matter how big their fan base is as long as they got the talent. But, if it come down to it I would love to work with Yelawolf. Even if we didn't end up working together I'd just be honoured to sit down and crack a bottle of Jack Daniels with him, haha.

What are you currently working on right now? New music, collabs, videos, etc.

.

I'm working on a lot right now. I have a cypher coming out with a few dope Artist in California, the "Gold Coast to California Cypher part 2" I have a few tracks with U.K artist Switch Blade Stiletto in the works. Plus I am always making more records with my team. I'm getting started on my next E.P now and expect to see me on a few Mixtapes coming out this year as well.

What is your most accomplished piece of work? track, albums, mixtapes, etc.?

.

My latest release "Chained to the Floor" would have to be it. I worked the hardest on it and spent the most time on it. The self titled video single is up on you tube if you wanna check it out. Or jump over on my website www.yaboyhoops.com All my music is up for free download there.

Which producers would you want to work with the most?

.

My producer Christian James is one of the most talented producers I have ever met. He can sit down there with me and tailor make a beat for exactly what I need. So yeah, I definitely wanna keep working with him. But there are a lot of other dope producers out there. If any are reading this and wanna do a project with me, hit me up on facebook or email and we can work it out.

Explain how you came about your "rap" name?

.

Haha, way back in high school it kinda came about. Everybody used call me Hoops. Matter of fact I think more people know me by that than they do my birth name now. So it kinda stuck.

About how much time do you dedicate to your music each week?

.

Its when ever it happens you know. I spend a fair bit of time on my own just writing. But I catch up with my crew to record, do photo shoots, video shoots, mixing and mastering a few times a week. So there will be a lot of new music coming out real soon.

Where do you see yourself 10 years from now? What is your goal in music?

.

Man, I aint got no delusions of being the greatest in the world, you know, not every white boy gonna get that Eminem status. But I am damn good at what I do. I'm always gonna be in music, I just wanna make enough money so the bills are paid and keep that Old no.7 pouring haha.

Do you have a personal favourite track of your own? If so which one and why?

.

I would have to say "Day to Day"of the "Chained to the Floor" E.P. I like to make a lot of my music about my experiences, and this track highlights the struggle an independent artist has to deal with.

How often do you sit down to write new material

.

Man like I said, It's when ever it comes. sometimes I might not write for a few weeks, but in that time I'l still be sitting down going over tracks making sure its all ready to be released. But when your hot your hot, you don't put that pen down.
