This 22 track Inspirational/gospel album will fill you with faith! Even the non-believers won't be able to deny such skill and precision on the mic. Not one soul that listens to this album will go unmoved or uninspired! Psalm aka Lyricidal is putting underground gospel hip hop on the map! Not only that but he is making it cool and he is making it dope. The music is real and relatable even for those who do not practice any religion. And no true hip hop head can deny realness on the mic. It's a great album, we will tell you that now! Psalm lives up to his nickname, “lyricidal”, the man is a lyrical genius!

Each track on “Covenant” will bring some new form of inspiration to your life and leave you reflecting on the past, future, and present. But you will do so with ease. If you really take the time to listen to this album, you will make a strong connection to it. Even if it's only one song, you will feel some kind of connection. The true power of music, that's what “Covenant” brings to the table! The power to move people and uplift them and help them understand life in general, a little better.

The album starts off with, “If Life is a Contest”, which basically brings all the bad things in the world to light. Everyone goes through hardships and will face horrible things in their life. But it also reminds us that life is about how we choose to live and what we decide to do with it. “If life is a contest we are all losing because of all the nonsense we're all choosing” - Psalms

This track will put some things in perspective for you, might make you question some of the decisions you have made in the past or that you are about to make. Nonetheless it will grab your attention and leave you wanting to continue the album. Another notable track is “Before I Move”, can we just take a second to appreciate the delivery & flow on this one!? I know we keep talking about being inspired and reflecting on life and what not (which this track has plenty of). But we meant what we said when we mentioned Psalms I'd a lyrical genius. The man can rap his ass off and praise God at the same time and some how it goes hard! The overall production on this track, “Before I Move”, is insane! Turn it up! And “I Knew A Girl”, sampled from the hit song, “Daughters”, by John Mayer, is one track that anyone, no matter who you are, will be able to appreciate and truly understand. A song about life, it really is beautiful. Psalms completely makes this John Mayer song his own, the passion is strong, we could hear it being played all over the radio waves!

“Covenant” had a few solid features but for the most part you are getting Lyricidal! If this is your first time listening to his music than perfect! This album had everything you need to show off his abilities and talents as an artist. We also must mention the vocalists picked for this album were outstanding! So we urge all hip hop fans to take the time to enjoy this album today! Hit play with an open mind and you might just become a big fan!
