.

Give us a little background for the new listeners. How long have you been making music, where are you from? etc.

.

Well if they don't know already the names CrimZn. I've been making music for a hot ass min. Since back in 97' I was in a accident that flatlined me and kept me comatosed for about a month after that. But I literally started my first musical project straight out of a coma. I sang in hardcore bands. I always wrote poetry and lyrics and came up listening to hiphop like early Wu Tang, Mobb Deep, Nas, & early Outkast, shit like dat, too many influences to list. But yea technically I been making music for 19 years and been making hiphop for about 17. I'm from NEPA. Scranton PA ta be exact but I lived in Birmingham AL for a few years "whaddup 205", and spent mad years in south philly which I'll always consider a second home and where I really crafted my skills writing, I really just came back ta the NEPA scene about 4 or so years ago but its where I was born and I got a family here now so its where I be at!

.

What can we expect from this new album?

.

This album is just straight lyrical, some deep shit, some witty shit, some punchlines here and there a lot of boombap style beats, there are deff some dope features (Judah Priest, Solomon Child's, PaceWon way more too name) and its all original, beat production all original, shout out and credits ta my fam in Philly Odin Smith my dude BlesstBeats outta Jersey also got a beat on their produced by the jersey homie rich mahogany and a lot of the trax got my brotha from anotha Gov L on em and yawl will kinda see the transformation into Evolution. I'll get more into that later..

.

Tell us about this publishing administration deal you just signed?

.

Yea I did sign a publishing administration deal I can't really explain it more than just saying its dope its international and over like a 100 countries or something like that. I don't keep exactly 100% of my sales but at least I know I got someone working for me to collect all possible revenue and also pitch my music to people like for tv or commercials or whatever yamean, it's a step in the right direction.

.

How long did it take you to record the new album?

.

I guess it took me a couple years not that it took me years to record it but its been a transformitive process. Like it was never ready in my head, until one day I was like fuck it I'm just droppin it, prob like 2 years from when I dropped the earliest recorded track on it till I actually finished it, and most of it was already done just waited on some finishing touches and some verses to come in.

.

Do you have a favorite track off of it? Which was the most fun to record?

.

I dont know I guess my fav track on it is Hard-Hard feat PaceWon and Gov L it's just got that early 90's vibe to it that I came up to. It was fun recording all the tracks, well maybe except for one track we recorded at this one studio where the engineer went bananas and started wilden out at his gear, like gettin mad irate with his equiptment like I thought he was gonna start punchin the shit outta the speakers and computer screen, but he ended up blessin us with that session on the love so its all good hahaa..

.

Tell us about Evolution?

.

Yea Evolution is a group that came together from Vicious Fam meeting me and also at the same time kinda falling apart and then putting itself back together. The fam lost some fam and gained me and if anybody who truly knows me to the core they'll let you know loyalty is just bred in my blood. So after I linked up with Vicious Fam it was basically just me and Gov L rockin shows and doin tracks and shit, and we linked up with Misled Youth, Thats my boy Juke Drastik and Raptor Romanello. I always fucked wit Juke since years back and always knew Raptor, well I knew him as Bird back then but whatever same diff.and was always cool wit them, so Gov was like yo Juke and them down wit the Fam now I was like Ight, haha you know I was thinkin thats whats good they my people anyways lets do this, so we did some shows kinda nameless for a while just being Vicious Fam, and we decided to go with the name Evolution because we came together in an evolutional way. I dont think thats a word but whatever you get the idea, so now the group Evolution its Gov L, CrimZn, Juke Drastik and Raptor Romanello, BOOM!!! and we were only together 2 or so months and dropped a full mixtape, yawl can check us out at reverbnation.com/evolution570 <---

And we got mixtapes at all shows! So we have only been together for a young min. and we already dropped the mixtape and also signed with a Management company, I'm not gonna say the name cause I dont know if im really supposed to be talkin bout that but they lookin out for us now with the booking shows, gettin paid for shows, and all that etc....

.

CrimZn is up for hiphop act of the year for the Steamtown Music Awards. How does that feel? How's the competition?

.

I feel mad love from it and and I got respect for the people who put the conference on each year for the last 4 years. It's really brought a new level to the scene up here, there was never anything like this until they started doin this, so in regard to the steamtown Music Awards and the Electric City Music Conference all I wanna say is keep doin it and keep makin it better each year and if I win I win, the true supporters will stay true and the hataz gonna hate

.

Tell us about your latest music video. Can we expect another one off the album?

.

Yea this music video is pistol whippen pumpin and its off the album its featuring none other than my dude Gov L, we dropped this track and dropped the video almost simultaneously and the track aint about beatin nobody down with guns its just a lyrical metaphor, if you a hiphop head and listen to the hook yawl will get it without me breakin it down, and as for the next video, we gonna drop a video for FukAhook which the beat is produced by Nate Williams. Also got him on the track and Gov L and myself and its just straight bars so we gonna do a video for that, which hopefully will be out very shortly. And yo we deff gonna have some Evolution Videos on their way trust that.

.

What's next? What do the fans have to look forward to?

.

Fans, if yawl fans of mine and yawl real fans yawl will know I always stay grindin makin music whether im workin full time on my 9 ta 5 or on the run. the constant variable is that there are trax always droppin steady. Without music there would be no reality for me so there will always be some type of musicaly creation comin from CrimZn, I'm gonna stay doin shows as CrimZn once in a while and bring my hype girl Talia wit me rockin out as usual, but we gonna be doin alot of Evolution shows too so keep an eye out on Evolution, remember thats reverbnation.com/evolution570 <---

And yawl can get the new album anywhere online just go to whatever yawl fav place to download music is and search for the album "The Blasphemous Prime Files by CrimZn" and thats about it fam... much love for takin the time to ask me these questions, hopefully it will let people know whats good and they need ta get down wit that CrimZn and they need ta get down wit that Evolution, shout out ta yawl for lookin out as usual, and ta my wifey Talia and my fam eveybody knows whos who, peace n love.
